Gems Within MePrivacy Policy

Gems Within Me (“the app”) is developed and operated by Sergen Orin, an individual developer (“I”, “me”). Contact: support@sergenorin.com.
Data I collect
- Account data: if you sign in with email and password, your email address and a hashed password. If you use Google or Apple sign-in, the identifier and email those providers share. If you use guest mode, an anonymous ID.
- Profile and game data: your display name, focus sessions (time, duration, depth), gems, tools, coins, streaks, achievements, settings and goal/skill-path content you write.
- Purchase data: whether you have premium. Payments are handled by Google Play; purchase status is managed through RevenueCat, which receives an app user ID and purchase receipts.
- Device data: notification permission and, if you allow reminders, a device notification token.
How I use it
- To run the app: sign-in, save and sync your progress, leaderboards and purchases.
- To generate skill paths: the goal text you submit is sent to an AI service (OpenRouter and the model providers it routes to) to produce steps. Don’t include sensitive personal information in goals.
- To send reminders you have opted into.
I do not sell your data, do not use advertising SDKs, and do not track you across other apps or websites.
What is public
Your display name, focus totals, streak and featured gem appear on the leaderboard. Skill paths you publish show your display name. Choose a display name that doesn’t reveal who you are if you prefer.
Service providers
- Convex (backend and database, hosting and authentication)
- RevenueCat (purchases)
- Google Play (distribution and billing) and, if used, Google/Apple sign-in
- OpenRouter (AI goal generation)
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Providers may process data outside your country.
Retention and deletion
Data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data any time in the app under Settings → Delete account, or by following these instructions. Deletion removes your profile, game data and sign-in records from my servers. Purchase records held by Google or RevenueCat may be retained as required for legal and accounting purposes.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and Turkey’s KVKK), you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your data and to object to processing. Email me and I’ll respond within 30 days.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires), and I don’t knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided data, contact me and I’ll delete it.
Changes
I may update this policy; the date above will change and material changes will be noted in the app.
